We all want to be a part of something. It is just better when we do it together. Earthworms is more than a nature club, we are a nature community. We designed our membership as an opportunity for you and your children to connect with nature and each other. Parents are encouraged to participate in all nature outings, play groups, adventures, expeditions and camping excursions. We are a casual, welcoming, easy going community.

This is a family membership. We are open to all ages and there is something for everyone. Workshops and classes may be targeted for more specific age groups.

  • Play groups are a chance for children to build their confidence and social skills. The majority of our time is spent at a home base location free playing in nature. We start each play group with opening and closing circles. The circle allows equal access and importance to everyone. These ceremonies are an opportunity to take turns telling stories, to show each other our findings from the day, to share our challenges, to celebrate passages & accomplishments, and to give gratitude. Play groups are fun for all ages.

  • Nature Outings expand our comfort zones. They take us a little further into the wilderness. Outings are typically within a 1 hour drive from Heber. We keep these fun for all ages. There are plenty of opportunities to wander off and explore at your own skill level. Parents and kids learn and practice basic survival skills that increase situational awareness and promote wilderness safety including; fire, shelter, signaling, first aid, food & water.

  • Adventures & Expeditions explore places that promote stewardship, fitness, courage and leadership. Together we will go to local farms, rock hounding, geode caching, group hikes, and other fun adventures!

  • Camping Excursions develop an intimate kinship with nature and each other. Create positive memories with your kids that will last a lifetime. Camping excursions are approachable for all skill levels. From KOA cabins to group tent sites there is something for everyone.

  • Book Club for you and your kids! Get introduced to authors that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development.

  • 25% off Workshops & Classes that are creatively curated to embrace whole body development; mental and emotional clarity with optimal physical health. We introduce positive associations, beliefs, attitudes and concepts to help overcome fears, limitations, emotional constrictions and inhibitions. Kids have the freedom to explore, imagine, play and grow in community learning environments.

  • Parent Meet-ups give us a a chance to build our friendships. We all need a little wind in our sails. Connect with other parents and mentors for adult recess.

  • Group Volunteer Opportunities give us a chance to give back and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. From clean up projects to entertaining senior citizens we leave the world better than we found it.

  • Conservation Projects encourage our children to value and protect their natural environment.
